Do you want your newly published blog post to get indexed by all major Search Engines as soon as possible?
For a popular blog, it might be easy as it got faster indexing when a new post published.
But what, if our blog is new or average?
It takes time until Search Engine bots come to our site, Crawls them and indexes them.
However, you can use my below Updated WordPress Ping List for faster indexing of your new blog post.
What is WordPress Ping List
WordPress Ping List are very useful update services. It allows Search Engines to know that you have updated your blog content.
According to Wikipedia, Ping in blogging is an XML-RPC-based push mechanism by which blog notifies a server that its content has been updated.
That means, whenever you publish, modify or update a post WordPress automatically sends a ping to all listed ping services. So, this will notify about your new post and help them to quickly indexed by Search Engines.
My Updated WordPress Ping List
By default, WordPress uses Ping-O-Matic’s (rpc.pingomatic.com) server, a popular Ping Service.
Apart from this service I have added more updated useful Services from various trusted sources that you can use right now.
However, I have not added any Google services in this list
Ex: "http://blogsearch.google.com/ping/RPC2" by assuming that you have already submitted your XML-Sitemap to Search Engines like Google and Bing.
If yes, then there is no need to ping them again.
If not, You can Easily Create and Submit an XML-Sitemap to Google, which is an essential SEO practice every blogger should follow.
Here is my recommended WordPress Ping list for you. Just copy the entire list to use.
How to Add or Update Ping List to WordPress Site
To Add Ping List, you need to login to your WordPress dashboard.
From there, Go to Settings and click on Writing.
Now, on next screen scroll down and you will find Update Services Box.
By default WordPress has Ping-O-Matic’s Service. Just delete it because I have already added to my list.
So, paste the above entire list in the box and Click on Save Changes.
That’s it. You have done.
From now, whenever you publish a new post WordPress automatically notifies the all above Update Services.
Over to You
Although Pings add no direct value in Ranking of your page, it helps Web Crawlers to find your page faster, which may helps to attract more traffic and more Social Shares that leads to improve Search Ranking.
So, I recommend to use them.
However, I would not suggest you to do Ping Spam, which may lead to Google penalty.
Moreover, you can always change or remove above services whenever you want.
If you know any other useful Ping Services, please let me know via Comments. I would be happy to update my list.
