- Title length should be at a maximum of 65 characters including spaces because Google shows only first 65 characters in search results.

- If relevant to your article, try to add power words like Brilliant, Amazing, Top, Best, latest and also numbers such as top10, 9 best and years like 2016,2017,2018. These will help in making Long tail keyword and attract more to searchers.
You can use online tools like CoSchedule Headline analyzer to analyze and increase the quality score of blog post headline.
Write Unique Meta description:
Meta descriptions are the advertisement of your content in Search Engine Results Page (SERP’s). It describes the purpose of the content to the searchers.
Don’t overstuff your meta description with too many keywords, because Google already concluded that they do not consider meta tag as a ranking factor.
So always write a unique and user-friendly meta description for your content. These will improve your Click through rate in SERP’s, and you know that Click Through Rate (CTR) is one of the major ranking factors.
Meta description should be relevant to your blog post. Otherwise, it will increase Bounce rate.
The characteristics of good meta description are:
- It should be between 130-155 characters ( Google shows only first 160 characters).
- It should be unique and relevant to your content.
- Always try to write in an active voice.
- It should contain focus keyword or LSI keyword. Note that, even if it is not a ranking factor, but it bolded in SERP’s and shows the relevancy of your content to the searcher.
SEO-Friendly Permalink Structure:
Permalinks (URL) are the address of the web page on your site, which provides a permanent link to the particular page. Keyword-rich permalinks are the important aspects of the SEO.
Don’t change your page Permalink after publishing. It causes Brocken link. If you want to do so, always make a redirect from old URL to the newer link.
Always create a URL that is readable by users. Prefer to write a shorter URL as much as possible( mostly 3-5 words).
Moreover, make sure that it should represent your content. This technique improves Clicks Through Rate when a user shared (copied and pasted) your page URL on social media or in an email without any anchor text used in a link.
If you are still confused, see my page URL Structure or you can follow any of the authority sites in your niche.
In all, it should be crawlable, clear and self-explementary, and should be separated by Hyphens(-), not by an Underscore(_).

Well, these Heading tags do not provide high value to the SEO, but it makes easier for Google to scan your content. These also improve user usability for the longer posts.
Add only one H1 tag per post; most of the Themes add Title tag as an ‘H1 tag.’
You should add your focus keyword at least once in an H2 or H3 tag. Also, don’t repeat your H2 and H3 tags too many times.
Optimize targeted Keyword:
Keywords are the words or phrases that people enters into the search engine to find information.
You should optimize your targeted Keyword for better Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
You should add a Keyword in essential elements like the page Title, Page URL, Meta Description, Heading tags, body content and Image Alt tags. You can also add keywords to comments.
Always prefer to place the focused keyword in the first Paragraph or first 100 words.
Mix the content with LSI Keyword. LSI (Latent semantic indexing) keywords are the synonyms that Google and major Search engines use to determine the page relevancy.
Google Search is the best tool to find the LSI Keyword. For example, this particular topic is about On-Page SEO, search for that keyword in Google and scroll down to the bottom of the page and look in ‘’Search Related to…’’
Always make your content comprehensive, relevant and which is uniquely useful to your users. Balance your keyword targeting with usability. Don’t just overstuff your content with keywords; these will result in negative Search ranking.
Keep the Keyword Density to 1.5 %. If you are writing a longer article, then not much worried about Keyword Density.
Boost the On-Page SEO with Multimedia:
It does not matter how great your writing is, a large section of the text on its own can be quite dull. Humans remember visual information more effectively compared to text.
Engaging multimedia such as images, videos and infographics can reduce bounce rate and increase the time spent on the site. Thus, will improve your search ranking.
If you are writing tutorial posts, add Screenshots or Videos to provide a complete and detailed solution to your user’s query. This may act as a quality signal and will help to get more Social shares and traffic.
Attractive images can drive additional traffic from Google Image Search to your site. Add Keywords in Alt.Tag to optimize images for better Search Ranking.

While adding images, compress them as much as possible to improve site speed and boost SEO. You can use “tiny png” to reduce image file size without sacrificing the quality.
Content optimization is the important On-page SEO factor. You know that “Content is King.”
Even if you followed all other SEO strategies, you could not expect good results by writing bad content.
So, what is considered as good content and how to write it?
Write For Users
Google Quality Guideline suggest that you should write primarily for users, not for search engines. Because only people will use your products and share your content with others.
Write Unique Content
Unique contents play the significant role in search ranking. So always write an original content and avoid duplication issue.
If you are depending on one source then your chances are high to write copied content, so always use multiple sources for researching.
Never copy texts from elsewhere. Always write in your unique style and give your text a unique structure.
Before publishing any new post research for duplicate content by using Online Plagiarism Checking tools.
Provide Well researched and useful content
People don’t want to read low-quality content that is not providing any unique value to them.
To makes your page high-quality, you have to do research well and spend enough time to provide unique value to your blog post.
For example, if you are giving a solution to your user problems, add some case studies to justify your writing.
See the below chart by SerpIQ, the Average Content-length of top 10 results in SERP is above 2000 words. So, to target highly competitive keyword always write a longer content.
If you write a well researched and an in-depth article that covers every aspect of the related topic, then naturally your topic would be a great length.

Always write in storytelling approach instead of facts based. Because people remember stories more than facts.
Interact with your audience by asking some questions, their opinions, and feedbacks on the related topic.
Last but not least, avoid grammatical and spelling mistake, you can use Grammarly to proofread your writing.
Make it Sharable
Even though social signals may not play the significant role in Google Ranking Factor, you cannot ignore the Social Media. Because it is the best platform to promote your products.
Social Media is always helpful to bring some additional traffic and to make engage your audience with you.
So, always write content that encourages people to share. People always love to share fresh content that provides unique value to them. Entertaining articles, and in-depth articles which solve the user problems will naturally get more shares.
Make Social Sharing buttons clearly visible to your audience.
Internal and external linking:
Internal linking is a superb idea to engage your audience with your site. Boost your page rank by linking to a related page on your site.
If you want to help your blog readers by providing some extra information about the relevant topic, linking to the external page is always appreciable.
To justify your content, always cite your source with a link back to the original post. This will make your content more informative and credible and also, help you to gain user’s trust.
While linking, use keyword rich anchor texts. Avoid words such as “Click here” or “Click on this link,” and maintain the naturality of the sentence.
